The property is beautifully appointed, in a lovely location, and the owners made us very welcome. We were very comfortable during our stay and appreciated the cosy log burner during those few rainy days. We hope to come back again and explore the area even more. Highly recommended.

Tips for Other Travellers

The other side of the loch is Fort William. It is a busy place, and the contrast with the Ardgour side could not be more profound. It is quiet, with a restaurant at the pub and little else. The nearest shop is in Strontian. There is also a brewery near the ferry which we recommend. If you want quiet walks or drives through lovely countryside, this is the place.

It was our second time at Ard Daraich. It feels a bit like paradise, with the garden, the birds singing, the beach nearby, and the quiet location without many tourists in Ardnamurchan.

Tips for Other Travellers

Visit the lighthouse at Ardnamurchan Point, enjoy pizza evening at Ardgour Ales, take a walk at Ariundle, and swim in the small lake in Ardgour.

Overall Experience

Really lovely cottage in a fantastic location. It was so nice to be slightly off the beaten track yet still within reach of many great places. The cottage had everything we needed and was such a comfortable place to rest our legs and read after a long day of hiking. We had a great time.

Tips for Other Travellers

Sanna Beach was otherworldly and absolutely worth the trek. Ardgour Ales is also well worth a visit. We were there most evenings for a relaxing pint.

There is no need to rush around. Explore the immediate area on foot and enjoy the garden. The walk alongside Loch Gour is particularly rewarding.
