In sixty two years of observation I have noticed that whenever the weather is especially bad in the South we are likely to have sunshine. The last few weeks have been no exception and at a time when we hear that Birmingham was sadly under five feet of water we are basking under cloudless skies.
The weather has been exceptional and the beauty spots and beaches are full. However, off the beaten track as we are here, I have just returned from a dog walk on the beach with not a soul in sight.
